Delivering Supervision
in the helping professions.
I am offering individual or group supervision to support
staff and add value, learning, personal development and
growth to their work. Through listening, reflecting and
guiding the work of individuals supervision will make the
work easier to cope with, more satisfying and professional.
I will meet with individuals and begin by contracting with
them around time and place and length of session. I will
agree with them what they want to get out of supervision
and briefly explain what I can offer. I will create an honest
and safe place for reflection, learning and support. I will
meet regularly with the supervisee and be led by their needs
in the session. I will listen and respond effectively in
order to develop self awareness and effective working practice.
I will support supervisees in dealing with ethical issues
and discuss solutions and policies and procedures. I will
balance the organisations needs with the individual's aspirations.
If you are interested in one to one, group or organisational
support or training please contact me on 01752-606-101 or
email me at jocella@supervise.me.uk

I have over ten years experience
of working in different statutory and charitable organisations.
This gives me the knowledge and experience to offer supervision
to those working in the numerous helping professions. This
method of supervision is theoretically based in counselling
supervision and the models found there. It allows the individual
to reflect not only the work but also on the context in
which that work takes place.
My organisational experience gives me insight into the cultural
patterns that exist. I have an awareness of organisational
structures and bureaucratic obligations and the stresses
and strains as well as the support and protection that this
gives to staff and service users.
"
supervision is not just an event, but an ongoing
process which should permeate the culture of any effective
helping organisation" (Hawkins and Shohet 2005)
Individual sessions are generally one or two hours.
Cost per hour per individual is £45 increasing by
£20 for each subsequent 30 minutes.
